Poszukiwanie interakcji pomiędzy formami muzycznymi, jazzem i klasyką definiowało twórczość wielu wspaniałych muzyków i kompozytorów, od Stravinsky'ego do Gershwina, od Bernsteina do Cage'a i od Goodmana do Yo-Yo Ma. Udało się tego dokonać na gwiazdorskim koncercie pod dyrekcją wielokrotnie nagradzanego producenta Larry'ego Rosena - Jazz and the Philharmonic. Grono uznanych muzyków jazzowych i klasycznych oraz zespołów, a także nowych artystów i wschodzących gwiazd spotkało się tylko na jedną noc - na koncert w Adrienne Arsht Center. Ten specjalny występ "One Time" zgromadził po raz pierwszy 3 główne, odpowiedzialne za sztukę organizacje Miami: Adrienne Arsht nami, UM / Frost School of Music i Young Arts Foundation. W centrum całego wydarzenia znalazł się Bobby McFerrin, wokalista, wirtuoz, dyrygent i dziesięciokrotny zdobywca nagrody Grammy. Do niego przyłącza się szereg światowej klasy gwiazd, aby wspólnie muzykować. Artyści wykonali utwory takich kompozytorów jak :Bach, Strauss, Copeland, Rodrigo, Gershwin, Mancini, Grusin, Corea i McFerrin. Koncert odbył się w ramach Jazz Roots w Miami w styczniu 2013 r. i będzie transmitowany w telewizji PBS w Stanach Zjednoczonych 28 lutego 2014 r. Wydawnictwo zawiera CD i DVD z pełnym koncertem. |
